[Important and urgent information] regarding the new coronavirus vaccination in Gunma Prefecture

 To all students

We are currently considering a “regional vaccination”, which would allow students of the university to be vaccinated as soon as possible, regardless of whether or not they have a residence certificate or a vaccination ticket in the prefecture.
We will inform you of the details of this plan when they are finalized.

On the other hand, the “Prefecture Vaccination Center” was established at the “G-Messe Gunma” in Takasaki City, and vaccinations began on June 17. At this center, if you have a vaccination coupon from a local government in the prefecture, you can get vaccinated by appointment.
Vaccination coupons are being sent to the addresses where people have their residence cards. If you haven’t received your vaccine yet, please make sure that there is no difference between your current address and the address on your resident card, and wait for a while.

If you have not received your vaccine coupon yet, please wait for a while.
Reservations for the Prefectural Vaccination Center are accepted from LINE, a smartphone application (we do not accept telephone calls).
You can make a reservation from menu “new corona vaccination reservation” of prefecture LINE official account “Gunma Prefecture Vaccination Reservation”.
For more information, please visit the Gunma Prefecture website.

When vaccinating, avoid the day of the Examination (including a few days before the Examination to prepare for the possibility of adverse reactions.) for both the first and second vaccinations.

If it is unavoidable to have the vaccination during class hours, please consult with the instructor in charge of the class in advance.

In addition, students of the School of Medicine (including graduate school) are eligible for priority vaccination by Gunma Prefecture. We will contact those who are eligible separately.

Finally, we hope that all students will be willing to be vaccinated as a first step toward acquiring herd immunity and restoring a normal campus environment.
However, vaccination is optional for those who wish to be vaccinated, and it is not mandatory or disadvantageous for those who do not take the vaccine.
