English Café
An Opportunity to Use English On Campus in a Relaxed and Casual Way
As part of Gunma University’s (GU) internationalization effort and in recognition of a need to provide students with on-campus English language support for the purpose of maintaining or improving English language skills acquired both in and out of a traditional classroom context, the Gunma University Global Lounge (GUGL) and English Café were created and officially launched as a new project at the start of the second term in October 2016.
Whether the English Café is frequented by students hoping to improve their English communication ability, brush-up on their English language skills before and/or after returning from travel and study abroad, or for students who may just want to make new friends through the medium of the English language, the English Café at the very least, is a place where GU students can make use of English on Aramaki campus (from April 2017, the English Café will also be held at the Kiryu campus Main Library!) in a relaxed, casual and friendly way.
